I have been at Pride Lands for over 10 years. Over that time, I have really enjoyed being part of the internship programme at Pride Lands. I have especially enjoyed the Pride Escapes, particularly my last one in Waitomo. Everything that happens there becomes a special memory for me at Pridelands. I would like to thank Moses and all of his staff for making this possible, from when I was little to now having a job.
The great thing about Pridelands is, when I need help even when I turn 18 years this year, the staff can be there for me when I have questions about adult life.
Moses, GG and the Pride Lands staff have never left anyone behind. The slowest person always determines our pace as a group or as Moses says as a pride we don’t leave anyone behind. It’s amazing he thinks like that and that is why we feel safe at Pride Lands because if we need help, he sends someone or he comes himself to rescue us.
It’s also cool how Pride Lands accepts every child that needs care and has never excluded anyone from its care. They treat everyone as equal and respect everyone as equal.
I will really miss Pridelands when I turn 18 this year. I will miss all the great activities, funny moments, adventures, the arguments like families have and the crazy stuff we get ourselves into that makes Pridelands special.
There’s no place like it.
