Pride In Action
Children who need help and support come to Pride Lands in many different ways. Parents who recognise they need help, local businesses with a staff member who is struggling, schools where kids are having trouble, government agencies that deal with children, or organisations that help children with special needs.
Here at Pride Lands we are happy to help and support all children, no matter how or where they need that help. Our Services section has more information about our standard services that support our cubs and their families, but it’s Pride in Action that offers targeted assistance where and when children need it, right up to dedicated One-on-One Support and Mentoring Services.
With Pride Initiative – Help 100 in The Hutt – we are aiming to provide sponsorship for the children that need immediate help the most, the ones standing at the edge of a cliff, the ones facing significant negative life outcomes if they don’t get immediate, effective support.
If you would like to nominate a child who lives in the Hutt Valley for sponsorship to become part of our Lower Hutt Pride, then fill out the form below, hit submit and we’ll contact you to discuss the child and their needs and how we might best help them.
As part of deciding which children to help, we discuss any conditions and behavioural struggles very frankly, and we also talk to the child’s school, and any government agencies that are currently providing support.
Please note that any information submitted to Pride Lands during the nomination process is kept strictly confidential.
