Samoa belongs to the Polynesian islands, and it gained independence from New Zealand in 1962. The Samoan alphabet only has 14 letters (which must make spelling a lot easier!). In Samoa men rule the kitchen and do most of the cooking. Being trans is nothing new in Samoa.
