Elliott was very sceptical about going to Pride Lands at the beginning of the year. He had never really been fond of holiday programs in the past and definitely wasn’t keen for after school care, especially when he could just come home after school and chill out. But with both of us working after school pickups, we decided he needed more stimulation and interaction than what he was getting with us.
A friend of Elliotts told us about Pride Lands and how much he loved it, so we started to look into it and quickly discovered, we also loved the sound of it and promptly enrolled Elliott for 3 days a week.
It was the greatest decision. By the end of the year, Elliott was asking to be enrolled for all 5 days of the week and was adamant that he couldn’t miss a Wednesday or a Friday because they were the best days! With the Pride Lands team picking him up from school and dropping him off at home later in the day, feeding him and entertaining him, it just made things so easy. It has been so much fun watching Elliott change and develop in confidence and participation throughout the year because of it.
The holiday programs for teacher only days were perfect too and an absolute treat for the kids! We really appreciate all the Pride Lands Team did for us and for Elliott this year. We thank them for helping our year go smoothly and for providing a safe space for Elliott to grow so much!
