My name is Dayna Morris and I am an outreach coordinator with Autism NZ in Wellington.
Autism NZ has worked alongside Pride Lands for several years, and we have had the opportunity to work together to support some local families.
Pride Lands provides holiday programmes and respite support in an inclusive and accepting environment, meaning that they are accessible for many of the whanau we work with. Many autistic children have high anxiety, and we work with several kids who have struggled to attend schooling. Pride Lands have been supporting these kids with one-on-one mentors, which is so helpful and makes an incredible difference.
