Supporting Children Across Wellington

Every child deserves the opportunity to feel safe, supported, and connected. Through Help 100, Pride Lands helps children access safe, inclusive environments where they can build confidence, resilience, life skills, and meaningful relationships with trusted adults. Our goal is to ensure every child has the opportunity to thrive, regardless of the challenges they may face.

Why Children Need Help

Children may require extra support for many different reasons. They may be experiencing financial hardship, challenging home environments, family instability, be neurodiverse, or face circumstances that make it difficult to access the opportunities and support they need. Many children also fall outside the criteria for existing services, leaving them without access to programmes that could make a meaningful difference in their lives.

Help 100 bridges that gap by providing children with positive experiences, trusted support, and a sense of belonging. Early intervention can have a lasting impact, helping children build confidence, strengthen their wellbeing, and reach their full potential.

Good evening! I just wanted to write in and say thank you to the Help 100 sponsorship.

Help 100 made a real difference for our family.
Both of my sons, Larson and Harvey, were fortunate enough to receive sponsorship through the Help 100 programme and attend Pride Lands Adventure Weekends. These experiences provided them with opportunities they may not otherwise have had, and the positive impact has been significant.
The Adventure Weekends gave them the chance to step outside their comfort zones, build confidence, make new friends, and experience new activities in a safe and supportive environment. They returned home excited, proud of what they had achieved, and eager to share their stories and experiences.
As a parent, it was wonderful to see them being included, encouraged, and given opportunities to grow. The support provided through Help 100 extends beyond the individual child. It benefits the whole family by creating positive experiences, building resilience, and helping children develop important social and life skills.

I am incredibly grateful to the sponsors who make Help 100 possible and to the Pride Lands team for the care, encouragement, and opportunities they provide. We are incredibly grateful to the Help 100 supporters who gave Billie the opportunity to attend a Pride Lands Adventure Weekend.
The experience has been a real highlight of her year. It gave her the chance to try new things, meet other young people, step outside her comfort zone and experience a sense of independence and belonging.

We’ve seen Billie grow in confidence this year, and opportunities like this have played an important part in that. She came away with new experiences, great memories and a real sense of pride in what she was able to achieve.
