Our Wellington childcare programmes are so much more than just babysitting and entertaining your kids while you are at work.
Our business has grown from a desire to do the best we can for children, their families, and the communities around them.
About Pride Lands
Pride Lands childcare is different.
For us, everything starts with our vision:
“To help guide children through to adulthood, to help as many children as possible, and to provide this assistance anywhere it is needed, and to any age.”
This vision has led to us offering a range of before school care, after school care, school holiday programmes as well as other services. No matter what we do, we always strive to give Pride Land cubs the care, experiences and tools they need to succeed in life.
An example of our commitment to your children, we offer them help with homework or assignments during any of our before or after school sessions, if required.
As children get older, we tailor our services to meet their needs. Older kids help out with younger ones, and they often thrive on increased responsibility. We also offer mentoring, CV writing and job interview guidance and can help find work experience positions. Everything we do is aimed to help kids become great adults.
We also have extensive experience and very successful techniques for helping children who are difficult at home or school or have behavioural challenges.
Our Founder: Moses Ariama
As the founder of Pride Lands, Moses Ariama sees the current services that they offer as the culmination of his over 20 years experience of helping children grow into great adults in Africa, Europe, Australia and New Zealand.
With an early medical background, experiences in hospitals convinced Moses that children needed a lot more than just an ambulance at the bottom of the cliff. Similarly, working in childcare organisations, he saw all the other things that could be done to help and guide children as they grew up.
In 2006 all this came together as Pride Lands, a suite of wrap-around services that are there for children as they first start school, and finishes when they are no longer needed. In some cases, things go full circle, and kids we helped go on to work with us helping others.
